Celebrating 50 in Jail, How Depressing!
September 25, 2007
By Maureen
It is Dr Kamal Labwani’s 50th birthday on 10th October. I suggest that we inundate ‘Adra Prison, near Damascus, Syria with postcards sending him our greetings. I am also compiling a list of names of people who wish to send him goodwill messages and I will forward this to his family so that they may let him know he is not forgotten on his 50th. If you wish to be on the list, please send your name and town/country to mhudsonthomas@yahoo.co.uk

From me here in the USA to Dr. Kamal Labwani and his friends in the dark prisons of the freedom depressors, I send him my admiration, love and regards for his sacrifices and my congratulation to Syria that could give birth at last to Freedom Fighters who can start the chain reaction of enlightenment of the poor populace who have been fooled with false propaganda for ages and the results was the impoverishment of the populace listeners and enrichment of the baboon shouters. Our blessing will be always with you and your friends and we are 17 millions strong immigrants behind you who run away from the ugly big prison to the freedom which we all seek to our beloved Syria.
The big thieves can not do what they are doing for ever and time will come for judgment.
thanks Fares for being still on the front of freedom defenders.

i suggest that u might go and put some efforts as well to find out whose birthday is in Gwantinamwo Prison on the 10th of Oct and mabe on ur way , u could search for the final number of how many girls got fucked up in iraq by the soldiers of freedom.
and then invite us all to lit candles and send e-mails for them under the title of ” How Depressing”

Rahaf,
Because I cannot put right all the injustices in this cruel world, does that mean I should ignore those victims to whom I can bring some comfort?

Thanks, Fares - you know you can’t really abandon us!

To Rahaf, you should be ashamed of yourself, what is going on in Iraq is coming to Syria not because we wanted but because it the making of the dictator. What happen in Iraw was not the making of USA, remember civil war, it is the long brewed making of that fucking dictator. If you are hoping to keep the people under your boot for ever and sentence them for speaking their minds, you time is going to end like it or not.
Don’t dare comparing Guantanamo with your prison, and remember what you did and still making to people and their parents in Hama. You killed them and kicked them and their children out of the country and you blood thirsty kind of man till now you cannot forgive their grand children. Know your self before commenting.

To MR Aleem .
i assume u r a stupid american,
WHEN are u are going to realize the fact that NO PEOPLE or ARMY BRINGS FREEDOM OR DEMOCRACY TO ANOTHER PEOPLE???
WHEN ANY ARMY HEADS TO ANY LAND , THIS ARMY IS HEADING TO OCCUPY THIS LAND NOT FREE THOSE WHO ARE LIVING ON IT.
i will dare to compare this hand - made grave called guantanamo to our prisons . and i will dare to bring up Abou Ghareeb’s prison as well.
and ofcourse when any syrian opens his mouth , Hama should be put on table . if u want we can sit and dig in ur peacfull clean hisotry as well!!
what is happening in iraq, if it ever happens in syr , u will get the same result, so come . u are more than weclome.

Fares | September 26, 2007 at 1:27 pm
Guys can we just focus on Kamal and the prisoners…they have no fu***** relations with Iraq, Guantanamo, Lebanon or Palestine…imprisoning them serves no purpose but to show how cruel and oppresive the dicatorship in Syria is.
Freedom for people who deserve it.

Gottfried Stutz | September 26, 2007 at 5:35 pm
I join Fares in saying let’s focus on Kamal and the opinion prisoners in Syria. Please count me in. I’ll be sending an e-mail to mhudsonthomas@yahoo.co.uk
If there’s another campaign for a fair trial for all Guantanamo prisoners (all illegally imprisoned) or for the liberation of Iraq from US occupation, then I’m in too. However, this blog is not the place for those campaigns.

Maureen | September 26, 2007 at 6:08 pm
Thanks G.S. I look forward to receiving your e-mail. Although I am focussing on Kamal over the next few days because it is his birthday, my friends and I also do what we can for the other prisoners of conscience in Syria, particularly Dr Aref Dalilah.

Rahaf, You must be beyond stupid, because everyone knows that if the USA wants to punish a terrorist real good they will send him to your country. In your country a terrorist may not dream of torture he knows that he will expect disappearance, acid is well used material. I understand your fear from speaking out and I know you have only three government newspapers where you do not have chance to express your opinions. So this forum is not for a guy like you, because you know only to insult, not express opinion. I think you believe the boots of your army is refreshing over your head because it is not foreign made, but be careful most of those big shot thieves of your regime ( with billions of dollars) are wearing foreign made shoes.
And you should not put your head in the sand and not hearing the news of Shia Sunni killing each other in Iraq. Are this problem only an Iraqi problem or Syria has the same problem? Specially small sect of Shia is eating all the pie and impoverishing the rest and not allowing them even to invest. Think a little bit more.
And when are you going to wake up and have some dignity, 17 millions immigrants are not in Diaspora because they love it there, but because they hate your system and your system did not provide for them, and I bet you are dreaming like all youths in Syria of a visa to the USA or England. I will bring to you good news, the USA will recruit the youth, if you are one, to fight on their side and by the way they pay pretty good salary.
On the other hand, tell your regime that I wish to get rid of your Badal and considered US citizen; not only their Suliaman who visited Israel, in the meanwhile you have to treat me as your follow citizen I’m paying for your food man.

Aleem | September 26, 2007 at 8:05 pm
Rahaf, have you ever heard in the history of dignity that after the enemy kick your ass you let his corespondant and his newspaper reporter to interview your cisizen if they felt good after the pounding. See the link: http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3453679,00.html
On the other hand your president is sending his blessing only to the Syrian Jews in America congratulating them on their holding, we Muslim and Christian community wish he ever send us such things, even we are here before the Jews. Keep waiting guys. And for you, keep shouting and teach your children: Bel Ruh, Bel Dam, Nafdika A Assad.

u r just an excellent example of the ignorant american who thinks that the usa is the mercyfull angel sent by allah to save the world.
ur leaders, one after one has blinded ur eyes with the idea that democracy and freedom is two things only the americans can deliver to the world. u better go and read about the way prisoners treated in ur prisons before u read about ours.
u better go and spread equality in ur country before looking on others.
second , i don’t fear to talk , i don’t even live in syria. and even when i was there , i didn’t fear to talk. i just feel sick of ur kind.
we, the 17 miliions , are waiting for u , the 250 millions to wake up from this shit they are living in. when u wake , we will wake, after all u r our salvation and teachers in this!!
if my leaders are wearing ur hand made boots, well ur leaders are spending billions and billions of dollars for the war of freedom in iraq while there are thousands of ppl in usa don’t even have a roof over their heads, u ppl are clapping for them taking ur money , ur children money , believing that they are here coz they had enough watching the iraqis torturered by sadam’s hands. ha ha ha good joke, history will write ur patriosim , the very same patriosim u made in Vitname.
i will never dream of going to live in america, even if it was provide to me on a golden plate. i’d rather live in hell than living in ur country. if ur stupid mind thinks that the youths in syr dream of immigrating to usa day and night, u go and ask every youth u can find on the web ,and then tell me what u find.
if we have military service , coz ur stupid leaders’ eyes doesn’t like the way that the oil is in the middle East, coz ur stupid leaders can’t but lick the israeli asses days and night brfore they start their meal.
u pay for my food also?? this is a new thing . i thought u poor americans are just paying for my freedome !!is ur Bush telling u this. pay for my food. !!!
my answer to u for this particular sentence, FUCK U. tom u will come and say , we are paying for u to have a shelter. u amsercians will remain stupid , and history will remember u as the most stupid people ever lived on the planet.
i told u before , u r most than welcome to come , but honey open ur eyes quite well and hear this, U WILL NEVER COME. coz ur leader is peeing on himself every time he thinks of the idea that the neoclear weapon will fall on his head if he ever moved a finger. coz ur heroes in iraq has failed to deliver the message and the whole world know quiet well how the message was delivered . u send ur soldiers to practise the real freedome they were taught in ur schools . to reveal the reality of ur society. how many soldiers rapped children till now, not even rapping them , killing them after they finish!!? how many soldiers are peeing on themselves in the hospitals now? how many went back home in boxes with the freedom flag covering them? how many can’t close an eye to sleep coz they relized the reality of their leaders, Come honey , this is the same result u will get .
if we were taught to say bel ruh bel dam , u were taught to practise give souls with a big stupid smile on ur faces and ur mouths shut.
Rmadan Kareem for u too.

Rahaf,
Everybody has the right to be angry at what they perceive to be injustice, but when that anger becomes foul and hysterical like yours it does far more harm than good. Please calm down. Reasoned persuasion always works better in the end than shouting.
14.
Aleem | September 27, 2007 at 11:44 am
Hey, you are way off, who said I’m sitting here clapping to Bush like you clapping to Assad, open your eyes and look around and read. Do you how many demonstration made against Bush, and how many against your Bel Ruh Bed Dam Nafdeek Ya Bashar for sending terrorists to Iraq and the killing in Lebanon, you better read the news. I did not say the USA is merciful angel and I did not say your president sent by Allah either.
Democracy and freedom is two things essential to each other, I think you do not have both? Right. Prisoners here again treated way better than what happen to prisoners in Tadmer, or to Arrar who been sent to have fun in his country of birth. His law suit is coming to hunt in the future
Hahah, you are worry about people in the USA without shelter and homeless, wake up those people eat better than you on the Iftar last night. It seems you have no clue about the rich and poor countries. What is the capital income or the gallons of water they spend each day.
You should know that rich and poor are a choice you make. If you prefer to play ignorance, buy from your enemy the weapons and go fight, (shouting: in Vietnam killed have America and we will finish the second half, Baathist shouting), steel from your people and keep them poor, make them produce in the bedrooms and do not interfere to improve their lives, then you are buying the misery by yourself. And you think it insulting to produce shoes and cars and send it to your official and to you, that is mean you way beyond repair. And by the way keep eating your patriotism and keep shouting Bel Ruh …… and remember Vietnam is the best place for investment and best trading partner to the USA now.
I love this thought, you will never go USA, are you saying that we the immigrants from Syria are traitors, how about other countries. You are saying that 17 millions Syrian are traitors. Wake up and read your own news. Read Syria-news any subject related to work, immigration and housing in your country. Stop putting your head in the Sand. I was there and surveyed the youth I’m talking about, and you are either a liar of an anomaly.
You have 17 millions immigrants, if one million come in age for Badal payment each year, you are collecting 17 Billions dollars a year.
But wait I read you wrote the F word, then I think you do not deserve to speak to, you are just a trash.

rahaf | September 27, 2007 at 1:51 pm
maureen honey did i ever address a word to ur majesty? if u don\t like the historical way of my talk , u just close the window and go continue ur stupid daily life!.
Mr Aleem , Thanks for the complement.. In return : those who blast civillians in Iraq are your own brothers; Zionists, Nazi, Taliban, and all other Ideologies who deturr humans all over the world are from the same breed: they drink human blood.
no occupation ever lasted,
faciest and nazists has gone , america and its israel are to follow.
enjoy the “freedome and demcoracy” under the rule of ur stupid bush.

Rahaf please respect the other commentators or your comments will be deleted. Thanks.
BTW Maureen is the best Syrian defender of prisoners even though she is British, so please show us what you are doing to improve your country before you start insulting others.

Fares,
Do I remember you feeling down because your blog wasn’t busy enough? Well, now it is
Bon courage, my friend.
19.
Aleem | September 28, 2007 at 1:39 am
Fares, sorry for this encounter, and sorry making long comments. I appreciate your commitment for the Syrian freedom fighters, this is something. We have not seen such effort from honest Syrians freedom lovers in the last 50 years of the dictator rule. Those honest people could easily have left the country or immigrated, but they choose to fight for the freedom of their people.
I know you fed up lately and went back to work, and I might do the same soon, but still the record will show that you made your stand, you have my respect.
One request, please keep this gentleman called Rahaf comments on this page to show the world those type tyranny lovers people, their thinking and their language. I swear he would slap you in the face or took to prison if this argument happened in Syria.
Thank you

Maureen | September 28, 2007 at 3:28 am
Rahaf honey – don’t confuse hysterical with historical! And do you really think I am going to ‘close the window’ on Fares’s blog because you are jumping up and down with steam coming out of your ears? I’ve seen too many Tom and Jerry cartoons for that to put me off.
I agree with Aleem, you should let Rahaf have his say, Fares, because what he says is so revealing about the mentality of the people who support the regime in Syria so blindly – and are also blind to so much of what is really going on in the rest of the world. They just focus on the terrible injustices that support their way of thinking, and ignore everything else.

rahaf | September 28, 2007 at 8:12 am
aleem - honey , are u serious, show the whole world? exactly what kind of “world” visits this page?
fares decided to stop blogging coz he knows quiet well that everyone visits his page never comes back. and i’ll save u the question of ” why u r back then?” coz i’m sick of ur kind.
and stop addressing me as a gentelman.
maureen honey , i meant hysterical not historical, excuse my weakness in ur stupid language. excuse my mentality which troubled u while watching Tom and Jerry, i hope in the coming future i will improve to reach ur state of humanity. excuse my ignorace and blindness . please pray for me , or maybe launch a campiegn for our kind. sit in the street , lit candles for us to have freedome and democracy while ur stupid blair can’t yet decide about the perfect day to launch a war agianst us.

Gottfried Stutz | September 28, 2007 at 9:20 am
What’s wrong with Tom and Jerry?!!!
P.S.: Aleem and Rahaf, I disagree strongly with you both on a number of points, but this is neither the place nor the time to discuss them. However, you may both have one common ground: Whether you agree with Labwani’s opinions or not, he should not be imprisoned or harassed for his opinion.
23.
Maureen | September 28, 2007 at 9:23 am
Rahaf,
You take misinterpretation to new extremes - and I am sure ignorance isn’t the only reason. But you make me laugh, just as Tom and Jerry used to do.
24.
rahaf | September 28, 2007 at 12:17 pm
GS :
nothing wrong with Tom and Jerry , excpet they are americans’ hand made. but we were raised to watch them every morning.
PS : i thank u for disagreeing with me “strongly” .
hopfully next time u will disagree “weakly”
maureen
and u remind me of 3abssi.
25.
rahaf | September 28, 2007 at 12:25 pm
by the way 3abssi is a cartoon character, he was dumb, short and fat. his nose always had something coming down of it. he used to follow adnan in whatever he wanted him to do.

Dear Rahaf, You have described me EXACTLY - how did you know? Now there’s an open invitation for more idiotic abuse!
27.
rahaf | September 28, 2007 at 12:51 pm
idiotic abuse?
didn’t know u will take that personal.
u broke my heart.
28.
Maureen | September 28, 2007 at 12:57 pm
Dear Rahaf - How else was I to take it? The point is I find you FUNNY when you are childish and to be pitied when you can’t understand other more humane individuals and abuse them out of fear caused by your own ignorance. Only trouble is there are too many like you.
29.
rahaf | September 28, 2007 at 1:07 pm
maureen honey,
do not be sad. i promise u , me and those who are like me , whose fear and ignorace enable them to see ur human civilized point of view,we will be working on disappearing from this planet so u can have a nice evening while watching Tom and Jerry.
30.
Maureen | September 28, 2007 at 1:31 pm
Dear Rahaf - These are not tears of sadness, but tears of laughter. But I am glad you have the decency to know when to disappear.
31.
rahaf | September 28, 2007 at 1:56 pm
maureen honey i think u have forgotton that we the ignorace uncivilized ppl , do not know about decency as well.
we are waiting for u to teach us.
please do not be late
